Speaking with pleasant words

Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.
Proverbs+16:24

Img source unknown

Reflections
Speaking words of encouragement and inspiration, empowering others to do what is good in sight of the Lord, shows your spiritual maturity in your faith, and will encourage others to grow in the spirit, that they might have hope. To be the very examples of Christ,  Yeshua. The Anointed One.

Be patiently embracing those who are not fully developed in their faith, to help build them up spiritually. Using Gods instructions through the scriptures, that one may develop endurance and overflow in confidence in His promises. Growing to be Christ like-minded towards one another.
The verses that are in the scriptures are divinely placed by the Lord. To teach us how to live.
This verse shows the very character of our Lord, and how he would like for us to be.

Prayer
May the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like minded towards one another, according to Christ Jesus. May your words be pleasant as a honeycomb. Sweet to the soul, and bring healing to the bones. May you be with one mind and one mouth to glorify God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What if it cost you nothing?

Kind words don't cost anything,
They can accomplish Much!

Ephesians 4:29

Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth
but what is good for necessary edification,
that it may impart grace to the hearers.

~~~Reflections~~~
Paul speaking to you as believers, one who is found Salvation. Being good stewards of Christ.
Remembering that you have been made new in Him. Taking off your old garments, or foul language, old ways of life.  Being renewed and transformed in your mind. Paul explains to us as believers to put off  rotten speech like one would toss out rotten fruit or fish. I like to think of the stench of spoiled milk, or the reek of POOP.
Think about rotten food, it contaminates, sickens, smells foul and creates an unpleasant surrounding for all who come near to it. So it is as with the words you speak. Speak life, Kind Words. To edify and lift up. To show others the goodness of our Lord.
Not an easy task if you try to do it on your own. Pray, Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your words, speech, thoughts and actions. Encircle yourself with the Holy Spirit, God's word, meditate on His word. The enemy would try to break you down, have you stay corrupt. Placing stumbling blocks in your path, with corrupt speech, people to antagonize you, provoke you or annoy you.
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Prayer
Lord of Hosts, Send your angels with a divine hedge of  protection. So that we can meditate on your word. Renew us Lord and transform us, with the your Holy Spirit. If there is anything foul, or os causing warfare in our mouth,  Lord we seek you to use your divine intervention. In Jesus Name Amen.
I AM AN ENEMY OF THE DEVIL
I AM AN ENEMY OF THE DEVIL
Peter 5:8
.Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
~~~Reflections~~~
Lions attack the sick, weak, young and easy prey. Lions choose victims who are alone or not alert. As with many predators, a lion may attack if cornered, if a human runs away, this stimulates their instinct to chase, or if a person "plays dead"
Standing still however may cause the lion to consider a person easy prey.

Lions are ready to pounce and devour their prey.
The devil being compared to the Lion. demonstrates the attacks we face, when we are being persecuted, feeling alone, helpless, suffering or weak, and so focused on our troubles and not keeping focused on the Lord.

Be watchful for the attacks from the devil.  This is when we are easily harmed spiritually, physically, mentally, or emotionally to Satan’s attack ,We leave ourselves open to attacks, simply by having lack of faith. So stay alert, keep yourself  surrounded by others who are believers, for strength.

 Resist the devil, stay steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. The God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, will establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Do what ever it takes, get rid of the Lion before he attacks. Shout Loudly the word, use any other action to appear larger, like praise and worshipping the Lord. Raise your hands to the Almighty! Jump up and down, as you would to make the lion retreat. Fighting back with the blood of Jesus on the cross, Using the Name of The Rock of our Salvation to call upon the Father and ask for mercy in Jesus Christ Name. this is the most effective way in to drive out the temptations,

Jesus is my friend

I am a friend of Christ and  Jesus is My Friend!

John 15:14
You are My friends if you do whatever I command you .

~~~ Reflections ~~~
What a wonderful and comforting thought we have that Jesus is our friend.
For Jesus is the kind of friend we need in our lives at all times. When we look for a true friend we should look for others who resemble Jesus.
Jesus is there at all times, no matter the situation..
His peace comes in times of turmoil and fear.
He comforts us  during times of sorrow and mourning.
He is always there for me.
You don’t need to go far to reach Him.
He doesn't  need to you spend money to be with Him.
He is here with us right now.
Having a friend in Jesus is brings peace to our minds.
He comforts us and leads us in the path of peace and joy
He reassures us that He is Our Lord and Master
He will never forsake us.
Jesus Knew no Sin
2 Corinthians 5:21
For HE made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us,
that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
~~`Reflctions ~~~
For God made Christ in the flesh without any sin. Pure. Spotless.
So the Savior could take our sin so that we might receive God’s approval through Jesus.
The Open tomb
Matthew 16:1-11
He is Risen
Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might go and anoint His Body.
Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. And they said among themselves..
“Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?”
But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away—for the stone was very large.
And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified.
He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.”
So they went out quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed.
And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.
The Lord appears to Mary Magdalene
Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.  She went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned and wept. And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.
~~~Reflections~~~
Insert yourself along side Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome. Waking along the dirt path with on the way to the tomb, where Jesus's dead body lays.
Filled with sorrow, grief, and unbelief this event happened.

Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, being witnesses to the many miracles, healings and even the dead being brought back to life, their faith had to be shaken. As they had just purchased the spices, that they might go to the tomb and anoint His body. Still in shock, after have witnessed the Messiah, being beaten and experiencing one of the most horrific executions, being left to hang until eventually death from exhaustion and asphyxiation overwhelmed his mortal body.

It was early dawn, on the first day of the week, and In their grief they wondered “Who would roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for them? When they arrived at the tomb. They saw the stone was already rolled away. there they saw a young man, who was dressed in a white robe and sat on the right side.

Panic struck them. Their bodies trembled, their heart raced. They felt faint and overwhelmed.
He spoke, "You are looking for Jesus, He is not here, For He is Risen. Go and tell his disciples and Peter that he’s going ahead of them to Galilee. There they will see him, just as he told them."
They went out of the tomb and ran away. In Shock, trembling and overwhelmed. They didn’t say a thing to anyone, because they were afraid.

What a shock that must have been to see the Stone rolled away. Jesus's body not there. GONE!
Only a young man, dressed in a white robe.  However, Mary Magdalene, the woman from whom he had cast out seven demons.  She was the first person who Jesus appeared to, after He had died and She did go and told HIS friends, SHE TOLD THEM " HE LIVES! "

In their grief and tears they did not believe her.

He is not here, for He is risen, as He said.

Matthew 28:6

He Is Risen

Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn,
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
And behold, there was a great earthquake,
for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven,
and came and rolled back the stone from the door,
and sat on it.
His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.
And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.
But the angel answered and said to the women,

“Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

He is not here, for He is risen, as He said.

Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.” So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.

~~~Reflections~~~
Just as Christ had said before, He will Rise, from the dead.
Resurrected! Jesus Christ died on the cross.
Jesus being in the human form come back to life after His death.
We have something to look forward to Our own resurrection.
At the time of our resurrection We shall be brought to stand before God,
knowing even as we know now, as Christ lives, so shall we live.
Our eternal glory depends upon our Faith that we believe the truth, and confess that Jesus Christ died for our sins. And he Rose from the dead, so that we may have eternal life.
If you would like to accept Jesus' free gift and become a child of God,
you can pray this prayer now.
"Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins. I ask forgiveness for my sins and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for giving me the gift of eternal life. I want to turn and live a new life with you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Jesus. Amen."
Alone time with God
Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Romans 2:18-20
Know His will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law, and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and truth in the law.
~~~Reflections~~~
I send you this message.
get alone with god

The more I seek God, the more I find Him
The more I find Him, the more I love Him.
The more I Love Him, the more I want to know His Will
The more I Know His will, the more I want to do His Will.
The More I want to do His Will, The more He will Prepare Me.
The More I am prepared, The More His Light will Shine.
I want to be overwhelmed in His presence.
He loves me in on moment more than I could ever be loved, by anyone.

His peace is so overwhelming. His love is so unconditional.
Praise Him Worship Him.
Go!
Be light bearers. Be the example of Christ.
Do things without complaining. Be of Joy.
Step away from the world, Seek the Lord.
Go into the world as bright light and shine.

Be the Light of the World

1 John 6-8

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light.
we have fellowship with one another that is pleasing to the Lord
~~~Reflections~~~
God desires the light of Christ to shine through us.
To be an example of Christ. To be the reflection of  His light.
We have to learn how to be the reflecion of His Light.
This means putting off ones own selfish worldly ideals.
Leaving all things aside, that cause us or others to loose sight of the Lord. All distractions.
If Christ light shines through his people, we being His people. Should we not shine be shining brightly?  Being pleasing in the sight of the Lord.
Phillipians 2:13
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
Ephesians 5:8
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
Distractions come in many forms. Arguing, Complaining, Conciet,
Disputing, Dominating, Selfishness.
These are forms of darkness.
How can the light shine through us
hen we are blocking the light?
Instead keep focused on the things of the Lord.
By follwing the Lords example, we shall shine as lights in the world.
This is the only true purpose we are were created, to bring Glory to the Lord.
To allow God to work through us.
Strongly hold on to the word of life, so you may share the light with others.
John 8:12
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world.
He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
.
Paul pretty much sums it up very well In this verse.
Phillipians 2:1-4
Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love,
if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,
fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit,
but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
Prayer
May God illuminate and apply His word, the truth
in our hearts. May we receive the understanding we need in these days.
In Jesus Christ Name. Amen.
When you are weak.
2 Corinthians 12:9
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
~~~Reflections~~~
In Our weakness, God always uses it for an opportunity to show His Strength. His grace is sufficient for us. ThankYou Lord for your power that rests upon us.

What a beautiful picture of God's forgiveness!

What a beautiful picture of God's forgiveness!

Isaiah 1:18
"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord,
 "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

Psalm 51:7
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

1John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

.
~~~Reflections~~~
The Lord tells us that if we come to Him and confess, or repent of our sins.
He will take the ugly sins that we have in our life and wash them away, and make us as pure and as white as that freshly fallen snow. What a beautiful picture of God's forgiveness!
Though our sins be like scarlet and crimson,
God says, "I will get rid of all that. I will take it away and I will wash you white as snow."
David knew the meaning of these verses and found true grace in them and in God's mercy.
In Psalm 51, after he had sinned and fallen into adultery with Bathsheba,
David had accepted God's forgiveness for his repentance. So do we.
Are you discouraged because of something you did?
Thinking it is to big for God to forgive, worrying that God will not forgive you?
"If you come to me I will take those sins, wash them away and make you as white as snow."
David said even whiter than snow Lord?
Stop worrying, come to the Lord and ask Him to forgive you and accept God's forgiveness, like David did. . Let Jesus take your sins and wash you whiter than snow, We all fall short of the Glory of God. Jesus was the only one without sin.
Pray this, Father forgive me for my sins, and help me to not to sin anymore. Lead me and Guide me, wash me as white as the Snow. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen.
Anticipating the Glory of the Lord to shine upon you for the New Year.
What a beautiful way to awaken to the earth covered in White
Snow covering earth. Fluffy White Snow Flakes falling from the sky.
When I looked out my window and saw all that fresh snow.
I found it so refreshing!
All that black, dirty snow. Now gone. Everything covered in White.
A welcoming site, as it's beauty sparkles, on every tree limb.
I Love to look out at the snow. Taking walks in the snow.
The Feel of that fresh brisk air, is so invigorating.
After weeks of the snow plows and the traffic making the snow dirty
with that ugly black soot.
Then theirs all the slush from the warm weather and the
build up of ice from the frozen nights.
When I look at the snow, it is a reminder of the goodness of God.
All the Old things passing away. Washing and cleaning making all things become new.
Cleansing my dirty ugly sins even whiter than snow.
The Fresh snow, reminded me of the New Expectations for this New year from the Lord.
and the washing away of our Sins.
that I look forward to in this New Year.
This is why felt so refreshed and Renewed.
I used the snow as a reminder to myself of the Word of God.
I am forgiven,  Washed as white as snow before the Lord.  Thank You Lord.
Be imitators of God
Be imitators of God
Ephesians 5:1-2
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
~~~  Reflections ~~~
Working towards really become imitators of God. Means you have to seek the Lord.
To be imitators of God, we must first know who God is. Your relationship with God, must be an intimate relationship. To be intimate means to spend quality time with the Lord. Talk to him, like you would a close friend. You need to grow in your relationship with the Lord.
Have Intimacy with Him.
His loving kindness is better than life.

You can find a deeper understanding of the love of God, than you ever knew before.
He will reveal Himself to you. He wants you to know him deeper than you already know him.
He wants your heart, mind and soul to be 100% belonging to him.
Learning who He is will allow you many different ways you can call upon your faith, in any circumstance.

Our Goal should be to be engulfed in who is God's character. This will take you to a deeper relationship with the Lord.  We need to know who He is. So we can be the Imitators of God. This means Digging into the word, Seeking the Lord.

With all your heart, mind and soul. Allowing His Presence and The Word to be our greatest treasures.
If you want to be a Being more like God, here are a few characters of God, be  filled with Compassion. Merciful, Full of Grace, Slow to anger, Bountiful in Kindness and Truthful.

This means letting go of any thing that holds you back from the Lord, From His presence. Anything that blocks you from  being in the presence of the Lord needs to be torn down. STOPPED! It can be the way we spend our Time, habits, people, distraction, material things, coveting, laziness, fornicators, idols, foolish talking, coarse words, routines, anything that is of the flesh that is creating road blocks in our way to a closer relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Needs to be replaced with time seeking Him.

Ask, Seek the Lord, and He will deliver and He will establish you in His ways.
Seek the Lord, and He will Seek You. Seek his word to get to know him, Keep Seeking, Keep Asking. Pray, Thank Him. Call on Him.

 Engage with others who seek the Lord. Worship, Praise Him, For He is Worthy! Be patient, Intimacy doesn't happen overnight.  Sometimes I think we get into the habit, of prayer being asking God for things. Being intimate with the Lord God is a Sharing your innermost thoughts with the Lord, and waiting on him to share Himself with You.  By abiding in the Lord. The presence of the Lord will abide in you.

Matthew 7: 7-8
Ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

1 John 4: 13
By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

What a Star?

Matthew 2:1-12

Wise Men from the East
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem
of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold,
wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying,
Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?

For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes
of the people together,
he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.
So they said to him,
“In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:
But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
Are not the least among the rulers of Judah;
For out of you shall come a Ruler
Who will shepherd My people Israel.’

Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men,
determined from them what time the star appeared.
And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “
Go and search carefully for the young Child,
and when you have found Him, bring back word to me,
that I may come and worship Him also.”

When they heard the king, they departed,
and behold, the star which they had seen
in the East went before them,
till it came and stood over where the young Child was

When they saw the star,
they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
And when they had come into the house,
they saw the young Child with Mary His mother,
and fell down and worshiped Him.

And when they had opened their treasures,
they presented gifts to Him:
gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they
should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.

~~~Reflections~~~
The Wise men followed the Star to the One who has been born King of the Jews? .
Take note the word says the star which they had seen
in the East went before themMatthew
Could this be like the pillar of fire, and pillar of smoke that went before them.
And guided Moses and the people. Could it have been physically moving, guiding the wise men to the Messiah?
Numbers 14
and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, Lord, are among these people; that You, Lord, are seen face to face and Your cloud stands above them, and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.
~~~Reflections~~~

The Wise men followed the Star to the One who has been born King of the Jews.
We here of the 3 gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. So we assume 3 wise men.
We should know better to assume God's word.
All of my life, I was taught 3 wise men. All the books, movies, and plays,
always had the shepherd and 3 wise men.
Lets take a look at the old testament speaking of the coming of King of Jews, the Messiah.
The wise men, or otherwise known as Magi or Kings are linked to Old Testament prophesies, that talk about the Messiah being worshipped by kings, and Bringing gifts. And where they
traveled from Midian Ephah, Sheba, Seba, Kedar, Nebaioth, Tarshish, and Lebonon.
Never does it mention the  actual number of wise men. Gives you an idea of how they traveled. Ships, possibly caravans.
Here are scriptures you can find  Isaiah 11  Isaiah 60,  Psalm 72Psalm 68:29,  and Micah 5:2

Fullness of the time

God Sent Forth His Son

Galatians 4:1-6

Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child.
does not differ at all from a slave
though he is master of all
but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.

Even so we, when we were children
were in bondage under the elements of the world.
But when the fullness of the time had come,
God sent forth His Son, born of a woman,
born under the law,
to redeem those who were under the law,
that we might receive the adoption as sons.

And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, Christ The Lord!

Glory in the Highest

Luke 2:11

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold  an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.

For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying
“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.
Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.  And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.  But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen,
as it was told them.

~~~Reflections~~~
So fitting that GOD would have his Son, The Messiah, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Prince, Savior, High Priest, The One who will Sit at the Right Hand of God, be born in a Stable.  A stable.  Not in an inn, a hospital, or a fancy palace, for the things of this world mean nothing. For all we really need is the Lord.  Setting our minds on things from above, not on things on the earth. Glory to God in the highest! He has us focusing on the ONE thing that is most important. The birth of the Messiah. The Savior. The One who would die for you.
Acts 5:30-32
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.  And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
who also makes intercession for us.
Christ Lives in Me!
Galatians 2:20
it is no longer I who live
but Christ lives in me
and the life which I now live in the flesh
I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me
and gave Himself for me.
