But First Look to GOD

~~~ verse of the day ~~~
2 Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
~~~ Reflections ~~~
But first Look to God!
Hanging on to anxiety, bitterness, complaining, depression can consume you. These negative emotions that you carry around leaving you lacking energy, energy to bless others, enjoying life.  When you carry around your negative emotions, usually someone gets hurt. Dwelling on the negative emotions are from the evil one. If he can keep your mind troubled, you won't make time with the Lord.

Even though you live in the midst of a brutal and perverse culture. Your thoughts and words don't have to go there. The Holy Spirit is your helper. Focus on the Lord, focus on praising the LORD.  A simple whisper of the name of Jesus can change your focus.

God wants your light to shine brightly amongst others. Live a cheerful life, without complaining or division among yourselves. Look to God, for His is faithful, He will establish you and guard you from the evil one. For our God is energizing! He can get you out of your funk feelings. You don't have to be discouraged, throughout the day. Going about feeling sluggish, depressed. If only you would  Look to God.

He will guide you so that you will desire and do what always pleases Him. For He is the One working in you. "Hashem",  the Lord  will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to love, to do what pleases him.

 ~~~ Prayer ~~~
 Grant your grace Lord to be seen in all my words, actions, in all friendships, and in all relationships, in everyone who sees me or hears me. Guard my emotions, train my mind to be kind, not grumbling or complaining.  Lord guide my thoughts that they are pleasing to you. Remove all things that are discouraging me. Thank you Lord/  In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
Son of David have mercy on us
Matthew 9:27-29
When Jesus departed from there,
two blind men followed Him,
crying out and saying,
“Son of David, have mercy on us!”
And when He had come into the house,
the blind men came to Him.
And Jesus said to them,
“Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
Then He touched their eyes, saying,
“According to your faith let it be to you.”
~~~ Reflections ~~~
How can we receive blessings, healings or salvation, if we do not have faith?
Our faith guarantees us the fulfillment of God’s promise to us for an eternal life with Him in heaven.
Yes our faith enables us to see the invisible, believe the unbelievable, and receive the impossible. Faith receives the healings, gifts and blessings from the Lord. Faith has no boundaries. Much like Love. Faith demonstrates hope and trust in God.  Faith is the assurance of things hoped for.

You notice the 2 men saw the healings that Jesus did. They had faith, their hope to be healed, made them follow Jesus. That took faith to follow after Jesus.  Jesus then speaks to them they are healed according to your faith let it be to you.
Faith  requires us to trust in God, with complete confidence and willingness to trust the Lord.
Growing our faith is a part of our journey with the Holy Spirit.
This means knowing that all things are possible by our faith in Jesus Christ.

~~~ Prayer ~~
Oh God, Thank you for being faithful and true. Your word does not return void.
We have complete confidence in you. We place our trust in you God, that our faith is unshakable. We desire faith that can move mountains, when we pray for others you will be faithful and true. Healings and blessings will flow abundantly through your name. In Jesus Christ Name Amen.
Gift of grace
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves,
it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
If you are a giver you know what it is like to give gifts away. You give it with no strings attached, without expecting any type of compensation. This brings Joy to the person receiving.  When the person receives the gift you give them you can see their face lights up. It also brings Joy to you the giver.
Same goes for our Father in Heaven. He is a giver. The ultimate gift of Love, His gift of Grace is freely given.
For God did not designate or determine us to suffer wrath, but to receive the gift of salvation by His grace. His Holy Son, The Lord Jesus Christ died for us so that we may live together with him.
Our God is rich in mercy. He freely gives us the gift of grace. So that we can receive the most important gift. Salvation. The greatest gift we've ever received has nothing to do with our works. It is a gift from God.  We don't deserve it,  we can't earn it,  nor purchase it. You only have to receive it form God.
~~~Prayer~~~
Father we give you thanks for your grace. We know it doesn't have to be any special occasion to receive the gift of salvation. Help us to show others how wonderful your grace is. We understand Lord you are a giving God, the giver of Grace. We boast in you Lord for all your goodness. We accept your gift of salvation and we give you all the Glory. In Jesus Christ Name Amen.

What if it cost you nothing?

Kind words don't cost anything,
They can accomplish Much!

Ephesians 4:29

Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth
but what is good for necessary edification,
that it may impart grace to the hearers.

~~~Reflections~~~
Paul speaking to you as believers, one who is found Salvation. Being good stewards of Christ.
Remembering that you have been made new in Him. Taking off your old garments, or foul language, old ways of life.  Being renewed and transformed in your mind. Paul explains to us as believers to put off  rotten speech like one would toss out rotten fruit or fish. I like to think of the stench of spoiled milk, or the reek of POOP.
Think about rotten food, it contaminates, sickens, smells foul and creates an unpleasant surrounding for all who come near to it. So it is as with the words you speak. Speak life, Kind Words. To edify and lift up. To show others the goodness of our Lord.
Not an easy task if you try to do it on your own. Pray, Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your words, speech, thoughts and actions. Encircle yourself with the Holy Spirit, God's word, meditate on His word. The enemy would try to break you down, have you stay corrupt. Placing stumbling blocks in your path, with corrupt speech, people to antagonize you, provoke you or annoy you.
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Prayer
Lord of Hosts, Send your angels with a divine hedge of  protection. So that we can meditate on your word. Renew us Lord and transform us, with the your Holy Spirit. If there is anything foul, or os causing warfare in our mouth,  Lord we seek you to use your divine intervention. In Jesus Name Amen.
Is your life a country song?
1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
           Rejoice Always!
       Pray without Ceasing
     in everything give thanks
     for this is the will of God
      in Christ Jesus for you
~~~Reflections~~~

When there sees too be no hope, and your life feels heavy.
Like an old country song.
You know car broke down, lost your job, your health is failing,
doubt, confusion and it all hits at one time. No matter how hard we try to get things to together, sometimes life seems like its falling apart.

It is important to remember that God has everything under control.
This is the time to seek God. In every situation we should seek GOD. Going to him in Prayer and Giving Him thanks, for this is the will of God. This pleases GOD.

 For the season here on earth is short. The human situations are like a blink of the eye to the Lord. Our eternity is what we should be focusing on.

Prayer
Eternal God, we thank you for everything you do for us. Including this life and all our needs you supply in every situation. We are grateful for the beautiful gift of eternal life, Through your son Jesus Christ. Guide us Lord, so that we might always be able to find things to give you Thanks. Amen.
