Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God,

the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.

But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

The Lord God^[a] is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.

And He is the head of the body,

the church,

who is the beginning,

the firstborn from the dead,

He may have the preeminence.

And she brought forth her firstborn Son,

and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger,

because there was no room for them in the inn.

and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son.
