Traveling through the desert.

Isaiah 48: 21

And they did not thirst
When He led them through the deserts,
He caused the waters to flow from the rock for them,
He also split the rock, and the waters gushed out.

~~~Reflections~~~
We were all born sinners.
God knows this, he does not deal with us according to our sins. He does allow us times in the deserts,  and even experience afflictions, He allows us to go through deserts so that He can teach us,  so we may acknowledge that He is Worthy to receive our praise. That He is the Mighty Lord.  He delivers us for His own names sake.
He supplies all our needs as we are in our desert. Think about when Abraham led the Israelites out of Egypt, they were in the desert, God sent Manna down from heaven to feed them. There clothes did not wear out.
Here in Isaiah 48, He did not let them thirst, He made the water come from rocks. He even split the rocks so the water would gush out. Joseph was thrown in  a pit, by his family members, dragged off as a slave. In the end He learned that God placed him in the situations, so God could be glorified, by many.
Jesus went into the desert, He didn't thirst for the 40 days He was in the desert. God sustained his Needs.
He sometimes has to take us out of our routine, so we will draw near to Him. He wants to show us we Need Him. He is always by our side. Ready to guide us and lead us. He didn't abandon them. Nor will he abandon you.
Now it may not seem to be so joyful at the time, and it maybe even painful. Nevertheless, afterward it we reap the peaceable fruit of  His righteousness.  We gain knowledge and understanding from the deserts and the afflictions. So the next time you are going through afflictions or feel you are in a desert. Use this time to draw near to God. For He will draw near to you.
Go to the Lord and tell him, Yes Lord, Your will be done. For I know you will lead through deserts and deliver me from afflictions. Glory be to the Lord God! For You Deliver me from my afflictions! Thank You Lord for having a plan for my life.
